Dr. Jackson currently serves as the 11th Senior Pastor of the historic 136 year old Ebenezer Baptist Church in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. Under his leadership, the Lord has allowed the church to flourish in spiritual growth as they hear God's clarion voice guiding them in the vision of "Moving Faith-Forward". Since taking the pulpit on the first Sunday of September 2013, he has implemented several new and creative tools for worship, leadership and congregational growth. These include a monthly Leadership Summit, Hour of Power Bible Study twice weekly, media enhancements (flat screen monitors, wireless microphones, scrolling announcements, etc.), creation of Stewardship Through Giving Responsive Reading and prioritizing the Worship experience as the main focus.
Dr. Jackson is a member of the Northern Virginia Baptist Association, the Northern Virginia Ministers Conference and is also affiliated with National Congress of Christian Education in Baltimore, Maryland. He is also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated and one of the founding members of R.E.A.C.H., an organization designed to provide leadership and lend support to the success of families residing in the 10 Villages of Columbia, Maryland through the collaborative effort of local churches, government and civic organizations throughout Howard County, Maryland.
Dr. Jackson resides in Howard County, Maryland with his wife, Shawnetta and their three children, Albert Darnell, Gabrielle Michelle and Joi Kyra.
In obedience to God and His word, Dr. Jackson believes in Isaiah 4:10--"Fear not; for I am with thee; Be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with my victorious right hand of my righteousness.

He is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and the son of the late Rev. Albert E. Jackson and Florence L. Jackson.
Dr. Jackson graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design in 1997. He furthered his studies by attending and graduating from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia with a Master of Divinity degree in 2004. Dr. Jackson received his Doctorate of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. Jackson was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on July 10, 2002 and was ordained on June 16, 2010 at the Galilee Baptist Church

under the pasturage of Rev. Dr. Lloyd T. McGriff. He served at Galilee for ten years as Youth Pastor. During his tenure, the Stir Up The Gifts Youth Ministries was birthed.
