Dr. Jackson currently serves as the 11th Senior Pastor of the historic 141 year old Ebenezer Baptist Church in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. He is President of the Northern Virginia Baptist Association for Region 1. He holds membership with the Northern Virginia Ministers Conference, D.C. Ministers Conference and Vicinity, Lott Carey, National Baptist Convention and the Baptist General Convention. He is also an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated.

Dr. Jackson published his first book in May 2020, "Pastoring In A Pandemic: Voices for the Ages".

Dr. Jackson is married to his college sweetheart and wife of 22 years - Lady Shawnetta Jackson. From their union, they are the proud parents of their three children, Albert Darnell, Gabrielle Michelle and Joi Kyra.

 

In obedience to God and His word, Dr. Jackson firmly believes in Isaiah 4:10--"Fear not; for I am with thee; Be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with my victorious right hand of my righteousness.

"A heart for God and a heart for God's people"- a very accurate description of the dynamic and charismatic Rev. Dr. Albert P. Jackson.

 

He is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and the son of the late Rev. Albert E. Jackson and Florence L. Jackson.

 

Dr. Jackson graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design in 1997. He furthered his studies by graduating from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia with a Master of Divinity degree in 2004. Dr. Jackson received his Doctorate of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio in 2017.

 

Dr. Jackson was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on July 10, 2002 and was ordained on June 16, 2010 at the Galilee Baptist Church.
